If you are a follower of the GW Real Estate blog, you have heard us talk about curved lines trending throughout interior design over the last couple of years. So how do you embrace curves in your own home in 2023? Our immediate answer: ARCHES (we aren’t afraid to play favorites)!
Arches add architectural interest, making a space feel both special and interesting. The softer shape can make a room look more spacious and draw attention to the height of your ceilings. You can create an unexpected moment of coziness with an arched nook. You can make transitions between rooms more harmonious with an arched pass-through. Or you can simply bring in an arched mirror, headboard, or dresser if you like the look.
We think arches pair especially well with rooms that have lots of sharp angles. The round shape is a nice counterbalance. We also love a series of arched doorways for a moment of drama.
