Going to the Dark Side: Dark Home Exteriors

As you drive around the neighborhood, chances are you see primarily red brick or lightly colored painted homes. In fact, we continue to have clients ask us about white houses almost daily. However, there is a new trend that has emerged for those homeowners that want to stand out on the block… going dark!

Dark exterior colors are a bold choice, but they can also be surprisingly versatile. Dark colors can complement a variety of architectural styles and have the ability to beautifully blend into their surroundings.

Our very own Selling Partner, Rachel Frazier, recently took the plunge and painted her Chantilly home in Deep River by Benjamin Moore, a gorgeous moody charcoal with green undertones. She was inspired by a client who she helped purchase a newly-built Modern Farmhouse by Grande Custom Builders in Plaza Midwood.
